Mid Day Meal

Dietician’s Note

The one major meal of the day has been planned keeping the following factors in mind

Age:               4 – 18 yrs.
Sex:               Boys & girls (school goers)
Climate:        Winter, Summer & Rainy seasons

Multi cuisine menu for variety such as Indian, Chinese, South Indian and Continental

Each meal has variation in terms of

Nutrients that should be present in the food

It is suggested that each meal should be such that children enjoy the meal as well as spend some time after the food for play. So a snacky nutritious food is suggested rather than an elaborate spread. Fewer items will also teach them to eat what they don’t like.
