April	World Water Day Earth Day Special Programme Participation in the Earth Hour	The children in class V spread awareness about Dead Zones in the Oceans Participation in the special Assembly Poetry recitation Animal Print paper wrapping sheets. Earth Day badges,  messages and slogans for preserving our planet.	Each Tree Makes a Forest. Every Drop Counts.
May	The children learnt about migratory birds
		The children made paper bags	We passed these on to the Monday Market stalls.

Be kind to Animals FIRST PRIZE Be kind to animals They are sweet and kind to us. We should love them and treat them nicely Animals are friendly. Some eat plants Some eat fish Animals are sweet not sour. I love animals. Some are tigers and lions. Some are sweet and sour But, be kind to animals. Janvi Singh III A

Green Memories… Shiv Grover as the Polar Bear in Santa’s Message 2007 . (The Ice is Melting) The Kabadiwallah’s  , the housewives and the  R R R messengers in the play Oh Kabadiwallah! The trip to TERI GRAM Wow! It was utterly wonderful! I couldn’t believe my eyes. We went on a trip with  Ameeta Ma’am who wanted to  take us a step forward in our knowledge about  Environmental Conservation. We saw gigantic solar panels, and airconditioners that used the underground air! We had a talk about vermi-composting and saw deep pits filled with dry leaves. There were 2000 worms in one pit for decomposing the leaves. I was on the verge of asking ma’am to let me gift some worms to my parents! I’d like to conclude that this trip helped us to understand  what we could  do to protect nature and maintain a balance in our eco system. Srijan Class V Now in class VI And.. Pizzas in solar cookers after the trip to TERI !
