The Curriculum The Early Years (Pre Primary) Level follows the Canadian Maple Bear System, which is well integrated with the U.K. based Cambridge Curriculum. It is a strong academic programme developed to encourage children’s innate interest in learning. Learning for young children is a rewarding and enjoyable experience that builds a positive attitude and ensures their success as they move through the formal education system.

The curriculum provides learning in six areas and lays a strong foundation for future learning.

  • Communication language and literacy
  • Mathematical development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Creative development
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development.

The foundation of the language programme is “Key words with Red Series” that helps to develop picture comprehension, memory, reading skills and ability to predict along with vocabulary enhancement. Another fun filled reading programme is “Sentence Boxes” followed at the prep level to enhance children’s word and sentence level awareness and faster reading and writing skills. Rhymes role-play and story sessions further enhance children’s listening skills.

Value education:The “Little Souls Programme” is designed to inculcate in children good values through traditional stories followed by a series of specially designed interactive games, activities and craft projects. Festivals of all faiths along with national and regional are celebrated.

New Heinemann Math’ series is a learning programme which caters to mathematical development. Activities in these books are designed to encourage a feel for numbers and an understanding of various mathematical concepts through rhymes, pictures, sorting, matching and other fun activities.

Competence in language, reading, mathematics, science and technology is developed systematically. Teachers integrate subject knowledge into a variety of active techniques suitable to the stages of development of the learners.

Play is the key feature of our programme: Learners explore and experiment with real objects in the learning environment. As the learners play, they clarify information integrate ideas from their previous experiences, explore and experiment. Play gives them the opportunity to add knowledge, learn new skills and practise familiar ones. Through these play activities, children learn to deal with their feelings, interact with children and adults and resolve conflicts. Bright and colourful resources like puzzles, games, puppets and real objects develop their imagination, creativity and problem solving ability.
