DPS International, in collaboration with Alliance Francaise, organized ‘Postcards from Paris’, an event showcasing French life and culture on 5th December, 2009. The day long event had the Embassy of France along with 26 schools from Delhi and NCR participating in a host of activities both competitive and non competitive in nature.
 
Various competitions such as poster making, poetry recitation, solo singing, dancing and quizzing were held through the day. Students of DPS International put up a commendable performance in all the competitions.

Udita Bajaj (class IV) was the Second Runner Up.

Our school participated in “SWARMALA” - a  Hindi group  folk song competition (Jr.) & “SWARANJALI” Interschool Hindi group Sufi  song  competition (Sr.) organized by DPS Noida on 27th July 2009.

Our students brought home the second prize in “SWARMALA” from amongst 14 participating schools.

DPS International,Saket participated in the Puffin Inter School Quiz organized at Siri Fort Stadium on 13th August. There were sixty six schools participating in the quiz.

Akshay S. Iyer, Hitesh Sevakramani, Gaurav Kumar and Himanshu Dikka represented DPS International.

The format of the quiz was simple – the first round being a preliminary round selected six teams out of all the participating teams. The teams were asked multifarious questions which were flashed on a screen and the responses had to be written on the answer sheet.

The Charismatic Derek O’Brian Hosted the Show. Ruskin Bond Was the Guest of Hon our.

Himanshu Dikka and Gaurav Kumar were amongst the finalists and finished in sixth place. They were awarded certificates and received Samsung mobile phones as gifts. They also won a one year membership to the British library. It was an exhilarating and enriching experience for all the students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vishesh Anand and Bhavya Chauhan of class IX participated in a declamation Competition organized by World Wild life Federation on the eve of Ozone Depletion Day .The topic was “Individual Action can make a Difference to Ozone Depletion”. Bhavya Chauhan was awarded the first runner’s up prize from amongst fifteen leading schools of Delhi.

Our students participated in a Math quiz “QUIZTAR” organized by Ramjas School. Our junior school team comprising Vaibhav Gupta and Arpit Kalla were awarded the Runner’s Up prize. Almost 50 leading schools of Delhi took part in the competition.

The semi-final round of the OUTLOOK SPEAK OUT DEBATE COMPETITION
was organized  in St. Thomas’sSchool on 24th NOVEMBER 2008.
SHAILY SALUJA of Class A1 was adjudged the SECOND BEST SPEAKER
from amongst 50debaters from 24 prestigious Delhi schools.
Shaily has qualified for the ‘NATIONAL ROUND’ of the competition where she will be pitted against the best talent of the country.

Students of DPS International participated in the ‘Mathematical Crusade 09’organized by DPS RK Puram on 12th December 2009. Our school team comprising Vishesh Anand (Class IX) Gaurav Kumar (Class X) Hitesh Sevakramani (Class AI) and Raghav Dhawan (Class A2) were the First Runner’s Up in the Mathematical Relay Event from amongst thirty-eight leading schools of Delhi.
